I was going to sit down and type in a nice little history of the clan MacAlpine but I just found a very nifty little site maintained by the clan MacKay and various others, called The Clan MacAlpine -- a part of their "The Scottish Clans in Nova Scotia" site. This whole site is pretty neat and came about during the meeting of the clans in Pictou, NS, at the 1995 International Gathering of the Clans. I will probably end up putting something of my own in here eventually but for now, that site pretty much covers the whole thing. There is also a little blurb on the clan at Electric Scotland. If you can believe it, Electric Scotland also has a bulletin board and a MacAlpine chat room -- click here to sign in. They've just started these rooms so there isn't much in them but it's too cool to think there is a MacAlpine chat room lurking on the Internet.
